Lil Dicky Bestows Jason and Travis Kelce With Their Rap Names

If Jason and Travis Kelce were to break into hip-hop, they'd need to work on a rebrand of sorts–which includes coming up with stage names. Luckily, the most challenging part has already been done for them, as rapper-turned-actor Lil Dicky happily suggested potential rap names inspired by each of the NFL star's iconic flair.

The fun went down during the most recent episode of the Kelce brothers' New Heights podcast, which was released on Wednesday, April 10. During the recording, Jason and Travis picked the brain of their guest, born Dave Burd, by asking him about his career in the music industry–specifically what songs Swifties should listen to–as well as his work on-screen as an actor and producer and what it's been like to collaborate with some of the biggest names in Hollywood (like Brad Pitt).

As the conversation flowed, Travis asked the 36-year-old multi-hyphenate–who also happens to be a die-hard Philadelphia sports fan—to "help give us some rap names."

"You guys have no starting points," the Dave co-creator joked.

Jason, also 36, then interjected, asking for a quick rundown of how a stage name works. "I guess, where does a rap name originate from," he asked before Lil Dicky got into the specifics of his own stage name.

"I just knew I wanted to make like a joke that was self-deprecating about being like not cool," the "Earth" rapper explained. "Young Man was actually my backup rap name."

"Hm, I don't know, rap names," he went on, pondering a fitting name he could bestow each of the podcast hosts with. "Really random thoughts are coming through, like 'Stick Shift' is coming through my head," he said looking at Jason.

"That fits," the former Philadelphia Eagle center laughed.

"Um, you'd have to be something a little cooler. I feel like 'Smooth' but something like 'Smoove,' like 'Smoove Trav,'" he joked. "Or Trav Smoove."

While the Kelce brothers don't seem to have any plans to release a breakout rap album, they are intertwined in the music industry in their own right. Travis is set to host his second annual music festival in just a few weeks, while Jason has made it a habit of recording a charitable Christmas album with a handful of other vocally talented Eagles players.
