Lil Tjay, Fivio Foreign Flip Holiday Classic With New York Romance on ‘Last Christmas’
‘Tis the season for a holiday romance — but Lil Tjay and Fivio Foreign know that there’s nothing more unique than a New York love story. Hailing from the Bronx and Brooklyn, respectively, the two rappers flipped the Wham! holiday classic “Last Christmas” into a drill-driven ode to complicated relationships in the boroughs.
“We was in Brooklyn trap house/Me and shawty spent 3K for the eats (We did)/And he’ll never take her shopping/We already spent 30K for the week (Nah),” Fivio Foreign raps, sizing himself up against the other person competing for a woman’s heart. “She from the town, I met her in the East/When I cheat, she wanna give me a speech (Huh)/Shawty is hella obsessive (Hella obsseive)/And she get horny, she get very aggressive/She be callin, she be askin’ me questions/I don’t answer, she start sendin’ me texts.”

Some good old-fashioned Christmas cheating is evidently in order for everyone involved, but as Lil Tjay sees it, sharing is caring. “Know we live in a world where these bitches on go/That’s why they’ll tell they love you/No she ain’t love you/I know she feelin’ the kid for the dough,” he raps. “My name Lil Tjay, baby, I be smooth/I ain’t gon’ fake it like you gotta choose.”
In the accompanying music video, the pair of rappers frolic through their winter wonderland. Their cabin is filled with women opening presents around the tree; Lil Tjay and Fivio Foreign have on their best holiday pajamas; and when daybreak comes, everyone is ready to hit the slopes.
