Fresh of her first Oscar nomination for her role in Killers of the Flower Moon, Lily Gladstone is up for her first Emmy tonight.

For the occasion, Gladstone wore a black velvet gown with a bronze chest plate and accessorized with Wempe jewelry—the brand's diamond Spotlight earrings.

Gladstone often uses her red carpet appearances as a moment to highlight Indigenous designers. For example, at the Oscars earlier this year, Gladstone wore a Gucci gown made in collaboration with quillwork artist Joe Big Mountain and his wife, Sunshine.

She is nominated for best supporting actress in a limited anthology series or movie for her performance in Under the Bridge. Gladstone plays Cam Bentland, a police officer who investigated the murder of 14-year-old Reena Virk. "Maybe the Indigenous woman cop is a compelling character because it’s a contradiction. It’s having this desire to protect your community, but then seeing that you’re being mobilized against your own people," Gladstone said in an interview.

Their nomination is history-making: Gladstone and actress Kali Reis (nominated for her role in True Detective: Night Country) became the first two Indigenous women ever nominated for Emmys. "I am so touched by this nomination. I wholeheartedly share the honor with the stellar cast of Under the Bridge, who brought such deep compassion and unmatched talent to telling Reena Virk's story," Gladstone said after her nomination. "Every beating heart on screen gave so much of themselves to honor her legacy...I'm forever grateful to have been brought along for the journey."
