Lindsay Lohan strikes pedestrian outside L.A. club, responds
Lindsay Lohan grazed a pedestrian with her car as she attempted a U-turn in the parking lot of the Hookah Lounge in Hollywood shortly after midnight this morning. According to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded to a radio call reporting the accident, but Lohan, whose black Porsche was pursued by multiple paparazzi, was no longer on the scene. Since no injuries were reported at that time, no report was filed and the incident was not classified as a hit and run.
However, TMZ is now reporting that the man who was struck, the 26-year-old manager of the club, has since received medical attention and could press charges. If he does, the LAPD say they would follow up with an investigation, which could imperil Lohan’s parole. Lohan’s publicist did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Update: Per the AP, Lohan’s spokesperson has issued this statement:
“Lindsay stopped by the club to drop in on a friend’s birthday party. When she arrived, there were so many photographers there that she decided to leave and never even got out of the car. At no point was there ever any indication that her car hit anyone or anything. We are confident this matter will be cleared up in the next few days.”
Lohan herself tweeted this response: “Scrape? This is all a complete lie. I’ve been at community service. Last night, I attempted to wish a friend happy birthday, which I didn’t even get to do because I was freaked out by all of the paparazzi. These false accusations are absurd.”
