‘Lip Sync Battle’: Uzo Aduba and Rachel Platten Square Off Against Danielle Brooks
Emmy winner Uzo Aduba came out swinging against her Orange is the New Black co-star Danielle Brooks on Lip Sync Battle.
Aduba started the night off with the Outkast classic “Bombs Over Baghdad.” Her performance was so good that Chrissy Teigen said, “You came out in your sweet little dress and your Jimmy Choos and then you f****** everybody up!”
Aduba followed up that performance with a stomping good rendition of Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song.” Aduba got a little help from Platten herself, who joined the actress to finish the song.
Not to be outdone, Danielle Brooks warmed up with a crowd-pleasing performance Ciara’s “1, 2 Step.” Brooks then donned some torn jeans and an awesome hairpiece for her rad performance of Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer.”
Brooks blew the audience away, and they ended up awarding her the LSB championship belt. Brooks was pretty excited, saying, “Uzo might win all the Emmys, but I win the Lip Sync Battle belt!”
Lip Sync Battle airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on Spike.
