Lisa Barlow Denies Overreacting to Whitney Rose’s ‘Villain’ Comments
The Season 5 premiere of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City ignited a verbal smackdown between Lisa Barlow and Whitney Rose. Lisa planned a Galentine’s Dinner called “Besos” for her friends. Actually, Lisa hoped that Whitney wouldn’t show up, but she did. Of course, no one wanted to be left out of the screaming mayhem, so Heather Gay and Meredith Marks also came for Whitney. In the end, Whitney gave Lisa the finger and left with Meili Workman and Angie Katsanevas. It was a lot.
Lisa Barlow refuses to admit that she overreacted to Whitney Rose calling her “a villain”
This feud started because Whitney went on The Viall Files podcast and said, “Lisa’s always been the villain! You’re an iconic villain, Lisa.” Eventually, Lisa clapped back. “Maybe I’m a villain to Whitney. I just think Whitney doesn’t like the truth,” she stated.
Well, the two ladies squared off at the Besos dinner. “Your podcast was not about you, it was about me,” Lisa told Whitney. Then, Whitney fired back, calling Lisa “self-absorbed” for thinking the podcast was all about her. An activated Lisa threw a glass, and everyone started screaming at Whitney. Fun times!
So, when Lisa was a guest on Watch What Happens Live, the villain comment was going to come up. During the popular show segment, “Work the Polls,” Baby Gorgeous took issue with the results of one poll. When viewers were asked if Lisa overreacted to Whitney’s comment, 77 percent agreed that she did.
“I did not overreact. I think she was still upset that last year they did some flashback to things she accused me of doing that I didn’t do,” Lisa said. “So I think she was upset about that and she was like trying to clear her own name.”
Then Lisa quipped, “Keep voting!” For some reason, Lisa is offended by that villain title. And in a twist, when host Andy Cohen asked her to name the biggest Season 5 villain, Lisa selected her friend, newbie Bronwyn Newport. What?! Not Whitney?
I don’t know what is happening among the RHOSLC cast this season, but I’m excited to find out.
