Liv Tyler Embraces Sheer Twist in Stella McCartney Dress, Auli?i Cravalho Wears Rick Owens and More Looks at ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Red Carpet Premiere
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is expanding with the upcoming “Captain America: Brave New World,” set to debut in theaters on Friday. To celebrate the film, actors and A-list celebrities brought their sartorial sense of fashion to a red carpet premiere on Tuesday at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.
Anthony Mackie, the new Captain America, and Harrison Ford coordinated in classic suits, while Liv Tyler, Auli’i Cravalho, Xochitl Gomez, Sasheer Zamata, Kathryn Newton and other stars embraced current fashion trends, including sheer and bold cutouts.

Liv Tyler
Tyler, who is returning to the Marvel Universe as Betty Ross, daughter of President Ross and an expert in genetic research, wore a Stella McCartney dress. The ensemble featured a sheer panel with polka dots, creating a shape illusion. The style was a popular choice on the red carpets in the early 2010s.
Xochitl Gomez
Gomez embraced bold cutouts in a Rodarte cape dress, featuring a crisscross detail at the bodice and contrasting band. The actress played America Chavez in the 2022 Marvel film “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.”
Auli?i Cravalho
Cravalho wore a black Rick Owens gown featuring a maxiskirt and a structural top with a cutout design.
Sasheer Zamata
Zamata, who played Jennifer Kale in Marvel’s “Agatha All Along,” wore a pleated Mac Duggal dress wth a plunging neckline, banded waist and cape sleeves.
Kathryn Newton
Newton, who played Cassie Lang in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” wore a tweed and chiffon dress by Chanel with Gucci sandals and Van Cleef & Arpel jewelry.
