When last we tuned in, Walt (played by Robert Taylor) and girlfriend Donna Sue (Ally Walker) had been shot by an armed intruder in Walt’s house. The newly released trailer for Season 5 shows a hospitalized Walt trying to make sense of the attack — and in need of a lawyer, which daughter Cady (Cassidy Freeman) sadly cannot help him out with, due to her deal with archenemy Jacob Nighthorse.

Elsewhere in the trailer, Vic (Katee Sackoff) clears something up for Walt, Sheriff Wilkins (Tom Wopat) has strong words for Longmire and Officer Mathias (Zahn McClarnon) makes Henry (Lou Diamond Phillips) an offer probably can’t refuse.
