This Longtime Summer House Star Is Not Returning for Season 9

Summer's going to be a little less fun after this costar's departure.

Longtime Summer House castmember Danielle Olivera announced she's not returning in a full-time capacity for the Bravo series' upcoming ninth season.

Calling her choice to exit "heartbreaking," the app developer explained in a June 25 Instagram post, "Obviously this decision didn't come without a tremendous amount of thought. Ultimately, I just need to trust my gut. If I can't put 100 percent of myself into filming, genuinely and authentically, it really doesn't feel right doing it in a full time capacity. The network, production, my cast, and especially all of you deserve that."

As for why the 35-year-old is walking away from the show?

"Right now I need to protect and prioritize the things that matter most to me—my company, my people, and of course myself," Danielle continued, adding that she's "so grateful" to Bravo and production company Truly Original for supporting her decision to take time off.

However, Danielle, who joined Summer House during season two in 2018, noted there's always a chance she could come back or make future appearances.

"I was fortunate enough to be able to take a step back season four as well, and it ended up working out better than i imagined," she concluded her message to fans. "However I'm involved this summer, you can bet I'll be rooting for another incredible season from my Summer House fam."

Danielle endured a particularly rough season seven after she questioned BFFs Carl and Lindsay getting engaged after dating for nearly a year. Danielle's doubts caused a major falling out between her and Lindsay, though the two have since patched things up following the former public relations executive and Carl's 2023 breakup.

While Bravo has yet to announced the season nine cast, season eight included series O.G.s Kyle Cooke, Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard in addition to veterans Amanda Batula, Paige DeSorbo, Ciara Miller and Gabby Prescod and newcomers Jesse Solomon and West Wilson.
