‘The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power’ Season 1 To Stream For Free On Samsung TV In Viewership Push Ahead Of Season 2
Viewers can catch the first season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power for free on Samsung TV Plus, beginning today through August 28. As part of a push by Amazon for an audience boost ahead of the August 29 Season 2 premiere on paid service Prime Video, the first season is available for free for Samsung TV and Galaxy owners in the U.S., Canada, Brazil, the UK, and Germany. It marks the first time the first season will be available to stream for free.
Set in the legendary Second Age of Middle-earth, the story explores the forging of the Rings of Power, the rise of the Dark Lord Sauron, and the epic adventures of elves, dwarves, and men as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth.

In Season 2, the long-awaited Siege of Eregion, a definitive battle in J.R.R. Tolkien’s history of the Second Age of Middle-earth, from which not everyone makes it out alive. The banners are raised, and the devastating war against Sauron is just beginning.
Season 1 launched with the first two episodes in 240 counties and territories across the globe on September 1, 2022, drawing more than 25 million viewers in its first day, according to Amazon. It marked Prime Video’s biggest premiere in its 15-year history.
The second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is produced by showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne & Patrick McKay. They are joined by executive producers Lindsey Weber, Callum Greene, Justin Doble, Jason Cahill, and Gennifer Hutchison, along with co-executive producer and director Charlotte Br?ndstr?m, producers Kate Hazell and Helen Shang, and co-producers Clare Buxton, Andrew Lee, Glenise Mullins, and Matthew Penry-Davey. Additional Season Two directors include Sanaa Hamri and Louise Hooper.
