Are ‘Love Island USA’ stars Leah and Miguel still together?

As “Love Island USA” star Leah Kateb explained in the Season Six finale, her journey on the reality dating show took a turn the minute she coupled up with Miguel Harichi.

Leah, a fan-favorite from the beginning, had a rough start on the show. She initially coupled up with Rob Rausch on Day One and the two seemed to build a solid connection. But Rob’s head turned when bombshell Andrea Carmona entered the villa, causing a rift in his relationship with Leah.

Rob ultimately decided to couple up with Andrea, leaving Leah single. She briefly moved on with Connor Newsum, but swiftly “caught the ick” — as they say in the “Love Island” franchise — and realized she didn’t want to pursue a romantic connection with him.

Around that time, bombshell Miguel, from London, England, made his grand entrance in the villa. He flustered all the girls during a blindfolded kissing challenge, including Leah. He decided to couple up with Liv Walker, but the spark between them faded after a few episodes.

Miguel, 27, then expressed interest in Leah, 24, and she chose to couple up with him. They spent a few days discovering how easily their goofy personalities matched and sharing a few sensual kisses in bed before Miguel departed for “Casa Amor.”

What happened between Miguel and Leah on ‘Love Island USA’?

The scene when Miguel opted to leave for Casa Amor was one of the funniest moments of the season. He agreed to depart, without hesitation, leading to a hilarious slo-mo sequence of him grabbing his suitcase and running off. It appeared that after receiving the text about Casa Amor Miguel had completely forgotten about his connection with Leah.

He arrived at the second villa eager to meet the six new bombshells. Miguel gravitated toward islander Sierra Mills and she reciprocated his feelings. They shared a few kisses, during and after the group challenges.

When it was time to return to the villa, Miguel decided to couple up with Sierra. Leah, however, intended to remain in her couple with Miguel, though his decision left her single. She appeared slightly hurt when he re-entered the villa with Sierra beside him. When host Ariana Madix asked Miguel to explain his choice, he seemed to second guess himself.

He later had a private conversation with Leah and she revealed that she still wanted to pursue him. She said she didn’t feel any resentment toward him because they had only been in a couple for a few days before he explored his options in Casa Amor.

Although Miguel showed interest in Sierra in the following episodes by making her breakfast and continuing to pull her for chats, it was clear that he still had Leah on his mind. He called it quits with Sierra and told Leah he only wanted to pursue her.

But he questioned his feelings, again, during the “Movie Night” episodes. Miguel watched clips of Leah criticizing Rob after he broke it off with her. He also listened to Leah argue with some of the islanders about her comments in the clip. Miguel worried that being in a couple with Leah would remind him of his tension-filled childhood. He revealed in his confessional interview that he watched his parents constantly bicker as a child and didn’t want to repeat that cycle.

Miguel opened up to Leah about his concerns and she understood. But he said he didn’t want to allow one bad moment to sour their budding romance.

From there, the two didn’t face any other obstacles. Their connection grew and Miguel showed more of his silly, playful side to Leah (and the viewers).

The two were shocked to learn that the public voted them as one of the final four couples. For their final date, Miguel and Leah took in the tropical Fijian sights while cruising around on an ATV. They then arrived at a beautiful picnic. The two discussed their journey on the show and said they wanted to keep getting to know each other when the season ended.

Back at villa, Miguel and Leah and the rest of the islanders penned sweet messages for each other.

During his speech for Leah, Miguel said, “I know that to you there are sides that perhaps you are even ashamed of. But to me, there’s a blinding light that far outshines all of the shortcomings.”

“Honestly, there really aren’t any words that could describe how great of a person you are,” he concluded.

At the end of the episode, Madix announced that Miguel and Leah came in second and Serena Page and Kordell Beckham won Season Six of “Love Island USA.”

After the finale, Miguel and Leah spoke to Madix and thanked their fans for their support in a video uploaded to X.

Miguel also said he was looking forward to visiting Leah’s farm in California, which they discussed during their final date.

After the show wrapped, Leah appeared on the July 26 episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast to share about her time in the villa.

“He literally changed my experience in there,” she said of Miguel. “He is probably one of my favorite people I have ever met. ... Even if he came in and he was just my friend, I would have been happy just because of how amazing he is.”

Asked by host Alex Cooper what the “vibe” is in their relationship now, Leah said they’re looking forward to enjoying their time together outside the villa.

“I love our relationship because we don’t put pressure on it,” she added. “It’s very organic, which is what we both like.”

Leah has also been spending time with the other islanders, though Miguel flew home to the UK. But the two have been posting sweet messages to each other.

On July 25, Leah and other members of the cast visited Universal Studios Hollywood.

“Everyone’s with their couple except for me,” Leah joked in a video shared on her Instagram story. “I miss my man!” She tagged Miguel and wrote, “You’re here in spirit.”

Leah also shared a video of her getting on a ride and said she was saving a spot for Miguel.

Miguel reacted to the posts on his Instagram story. “There in spirit bb,” he said.

The couple and the rest of the cast will reunite to discuss the season and their relationships during the Season Six reunion airing Aug. 19 on Peacock.
