Luke Grimes, aka Kayce Dutton, talks what's next after 'Yellowstone' finale
"Yellowstone," the hit Paramount Network show, officially ended with its series finale Sunday.
So what's next for Ohio native Luke Grimes, who played Kayce Dutton on the show since season 1 in 2018?
Grimes wrapped up his Playin' On The Tracks Tour in Denver on Saturday after releasing his debut, self-titled country album in March. His budding music career, however, shouldn't keep him from continuing to act.
"I hope both things (are in the future)," Grimes told The Enquirer in October. "With these things, you never know. That's part of the game as an artist; you're just kind of waiting to get the next job. I'm an unemployed actor again, which kind of feels amazing, to be honest. I had been on that show for seven years, and I loved every second of it. But to kind of have some open road and not know what's coming is very exciting."

"I do know I will act again and I will play more music. I just don't know at what capacity and in what context and what character. That's sort of what I love about it is that I don't know. I have no idea."
It appears "Yellowstone" is getting a spinoff, but it's unknown whether Grimes will have a role in it. Kelly Reilly (Beth Dutton) and Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler) have finalized their deals to reprise their characters in a new show, according to multiple reports.
The series, which the reports said will include "Yellowstone" in its title, has long been discussed as a possibility following the official end of executive producer and creator Taylor Sheridan's cornerstone series.
On Sunday, Grimes said goodbye to his "Yellowstone" era on Instagram.
"End of an era. Goodbye Kayce. You are a better man than I. To my yellowstone family, thank you for the experience of a lifetime," he wrote.
