Lyndsy Fonseca has appeared in enough Hallmark movies that we know she understands what it takes to play a romantic lead. And that means people naturally wonder if she’s dating someone in real life or perhaps even married. Like a lot of the characters she’s played, Fonseca has found her own real-life love story, and she did so in a way that almost sounds like it could feature in a movie. Who Is Lyndsy Fonseca’s Husband?
Fonseca is married to fellow actor Noah Bean and has been since 2016. The two met while co-starring on the CW show Nikita, where he played Ryan Fletcher and she played Alex Udinov. They did not play love interests on the show, but they clearly didn’t need to – the time spent together was enough.
“Lyndsy and I sometimes worked together and other times against one another to take down various bad guys over the course of four seasons. Through some long, cold Canadian winters, we fell in love – and beat all the bad guys,” Bean told Inside Weddings about their romance. The show was set in New Jersey, but it was filmed primarily in Canada, mostly in Toronto but sometimes also in Ontario.
The proposal seemed pulled out of a Hallmark movie. “We were at the house his late father built in Conway, Massachusetts,” Fonseca recalled to Inside Weddings. “He took me on a short drive to an old bridge overlooking a stream, read me a poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson called ‘Success,’ and got down on one knee.” She, of course, said yes.
And on their actual wedding, which included celebrity guests like Melinda Clarke and Aaron Stanford from Nikita, as well as fellow actors Aly Michalka, Jeremy Strong, and Jennifer Westfeldt, the couple had a fun little trick up their sleeves. They danced their first dance to “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” then stopped to reveal Lyndsy’s tap shoes and performed a dance routine. “It was a big surprise to the guests and was tons of fun!” Bean also told Inside Weddings.

Fonseca was previously married to actor Matthew Smiley, from 2009 to 2013 but she filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.
Bean has also appeared in the FX legal drama Damages and the Syfy show 12 Monkeys, as well as in movies like The Pill and The Report. Fonseca, meanwhile, got her start on the CBS daytime soap The Young and the Restless, in which she appeared from 2001 to 2005. Afterward, she famously played the daughter on the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother and also appeared on Big Love, Desperate Housewives, and later Agent Carter.
She has also appeared in Hallmark movies like Next Stop, Christmas, North to Home and Where Are You Christmas?
Fonseca and Bean have two daughters together, who the actress isn’t shy about posting on social media.
