A Ma ManiƩre has revealed the first official images of its 10-year anniversary collaborative collection with Nike, Jordan Brand and Converse.
In a landmark moment for the retailer, the special āWhile You Were Sleepingā collection features six models from all three Nike brands for only the second time in Nike Inc. history. The collection ā which features three Jordan models, two Nike models and one Converse silhouette ā connected to video trailers leading up to the release of the āWhile You Were Sleepingā short film.
According to James Whitner, owner and founder of A Ma ManiĆ©re parent company The Whitaker Group, told FN that he is āgrateful for the relationship and the shared journeyā the company is on with Jordan Brand, Nike and Converse. āThe āWhile You Were Sleepingā collection is a reflection of this commitment to our vision, purpose and message,ā Whitner said. āWith this story landing at our 10-year mark, we are excited for the world to experience and enjoy this very special project.ā
The first sneaker to debut in collection is the A Ma ManiĆ©re Air Jordan 3 āWhile You Were Sleepingā model, which features premium leather and suede details with violet ore accents. The sneaker, which retails for $225, will be available exclusively via A Ma ManiĆ©re online and in store on Aug. 20 at 10 a.m. EST.
In addition to this model, the collection also includes the A Ma ManiĆ©re Air Jordan 4 āWhile You Were Sleeping,ā the A Ma ManiĆ©re Air Jordan 39 āWhile You Were Sleeping,ā the A Ma ManiĆ©re Nike Air Force 1 āWhile You Were Sleeping,ā the A Ma ManiĆ©re Nike Air Max 95 āWhile You Were Sleeping,ā and the A Ma ManiĆ©re Converse Weapon Low āWhile You Were Sleeping.ā
This collection announcement comes one day after the retailer teased its campaign by the same name. Whitner called the āWhile You Were Sleepingā campaign one of the companyās āmost ambitious stories yet.ā
Mondayās teaser featured appearances by creatives and entrepreneurs like Jae Tips, Nina Chanel, Hebru Brantley, Chris Gibbs, Angelo Baque, Frank Cooker, Jennifer Ford, Julian Gaines, Jammie Holmes, Cam Kirk and Daniel Buezo. At the heart of the teaser is the Creative Resource Agency (CRA), an entity that plays a central role in the plot tying all the characters together: the CRA is the agency that was created to actualize the concept of a āBlack Taxā on minority creatives around the world, targeting those who are leading the creation of culture that influences society, including the movieās characters.
āThis is just the beginning of what promises to be an unforgettable adventure,ā Whitner added. āThe teaser, wheatpasting campaigns and ongoing activations are designed to create touchpoints at every level and an ongoing experience that keeps our audience engaged and eagerly anticipating whatās to come.ā
