Madonna’s Exposed Ass Is Getting Into Politics
Yet another ass has entered the political arena — and this time it’s Madonna‘s.
The “Like a Virgin” singer took to Instagram on Wednesday to defend her cheeky costume at the Met Ball Monday night, explaining that her decision to share her butt with the world wasn’t (just) about shock value — it was also political.
That’s right, oppressed people of the world: That ass-flash was for you.

“We have fought and continue to fight for civil rights and gay rights around the world. When it comes to Women’s rights we are still in the dark ages,” the singer wrote on Instagram. “My dress at the Met Ball was a political statement as well as a fashion statement.”

“The fact that people actually believe a woman is not allowed to express her sexuality and be adventurous past a certain age is proof that we still live in an age-ist and sexist society,” she continued. “I have never thought in a limited way and I’m not going to start. We cannot effect change unless we are willing to take risks By being fearless and By taking the road leas traveled by. That’s how we change history.”
Also, if you think that Madge should have covered her butt up, you’re just a big ol’ bigot.
