Mariah Carey posted a carousel of photos to her Instagram yesterday snapped at the Great Wall of China in Beijing alongside her 13-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan. The caption on the post read, “It really is great” with a butterfly emoji.
In true Carey fashion, the “It’s a Wrap” songstress impressively traversed one of the modern Seven Wonders of the World in a pair of lofty platform mules by Amina Muaddi. The backless sky-high Dalida Plateau Slipper featured jet-black satin uppers that transitioned into peep-toes, thick platform soles and 6-inch pyramid heels.

Carey clearly isn’t afraid of heights, given she’s got a soft spot for lofty footwear. Throughout her career thus far, the performer has often gravitated toward heels fixed with platform soles in order to create the illusion of length and height.
