Martha Stewart Breakdances in New Skechers Super Bowl LIX Commercial
Skechers’ latest commercial starring Martha Stewart has the business mogul breakdancing in its Hands Free Slip-ins.
The ad, which aired right before kick-off ahead of Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, began with Stewart announcing, “I absolutely love my new Glide-Step Skechers Slip-ins.” The writer and TV personality could be seen holding a bouquet of flowers in front of a historic New York mansion surrounded by lush gardens. She continues, telling the audience, “I just step in and they’re on, with no bending down or touching.” The iconic entertainer is then shown slipping on the shoes without letting go of her bouquet.

She then tells the camera, “And because they’re Glide-Step, I almost feel like I’m gliding on air when I walk.” From there, she says, “let me demonstrate — drop a beat,” and proceeds to breakdance to a techno beat. The 83-year-old businesswoman closes the commercial with, “And that’s how you glide.” Stewart modeled the footwear brand’s Glide-Step Pro Slip-ins in dark purple with coral pink accents. The $90 sneakers also come in black, white, and more.
Skechers’ Slip-ins line is designed for ease of wear for seniors, or anyone who may have trouble bending down or tying shoes. The brand also tapped Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid for another 30-second commercial that followed the final play. The silly ad, again promoting Slip-ins, sees Reid step into the role of hand model.
“Coach Andy Reid appreciates the comfort and convenience of Skechers Hands Free Slip-ins so he can easily work his side hustle when not focused on football,” the ad description reads. “There’s so much you can do with your hands when you don’t have to pull on or tie your shoes. Just Slip In.”
Martha Stewart initially joined forces with the Skechers brand back in 2022. Her first commercial and marketing campaign was for the Skechers Arch Fit collection. Stewart wore Skechers in December at the FN Achievement Awards, where she picked up the 2024 Icon Award. She sported her Martha Stewart x Skechers: Pier-Lite My Reflection wedges. The slip-on style featured the brand’s signature Stretch Fit mesh knit upper embellished with shimmery rhinestones.
