The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has a wide range of interesting characters. We dealt with the unhinged Jen Shah, who is thankfully no longer with us on the show, the “Bad Weather” cousins who like to spin the truth, and, of course, the show’s brightest star, Mary Cosby.

Mary held a snowflake during Seasons 1 and 2. During her time on the show, it wasn’t without controversy. She feuded back and forth with Jen, Lisa BarlowWhitney Rose, and the Housewife we wish we could all forget about, Jennie Nguyen.

During one of her explosive fights with Jennie, things got so volatile the one-season-no-wonder threw a glass at Mary as she walked away. This dangerous behavior, combined with the rest of her attacks throughout the season and her racist Facebook posts, led to Mary’s absence from the Season 2 reunion and Season 3 entirely. So, why did she leave the show, and what did she do during her break? BravoTV has the details.

Keeping up with Mary M…

Love her or hate her, Mary has been one of the best parts of Salt Lake City’s fourth season. Things on the show got so heated for the reality star, from her fights to the accusations she was leading a cult; Mary needed time away from the show and Utah.

“I did travel to my home in Indiana … I was there for the longest,” she said. “Meredith [Marks] would reach out to me, but I wouldn’t answer the phone. … She really kept being a good friend to me during that time … [but] she was just too connected to the show, and I had to disconnect myself in order to heal.”

Viewers have watched many Housewives go on spiritual journeys. For Mary, hers was essential in leading her back to the show.

“Once I was able to reach that point, then I was able to forgive, then I was able to move forward.”

She added: “Now I’m back. I’m present, and I’m good. And I feel safe now.”

Mary has been a fan favorite during Season 4 of RHOSLC, and it sounds like she’s here to stay. “I’m glad I’m back, and they needed me,” she said during an interview. “They need me to be back, and I need to be here.”

Here’s to more Mary in 2024!

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 concludes with the final part of the reunion on Tuesday, January 23 at 8/7c on Bravo.
