For his second performance he sang "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen, which had the panelists guessing James Marsden, Seth Green, and Elijah Wood. His third song, “That’s Amore” by Dean Martin, added guesses like Cole Sprouse, Michael Cera, and Matthew Lawrence.

Gold Derby's official guess for Paparazzo is ... Matthew Lawrence! Don't believe us? Let's examine all of the clues so far, one by one:
Audio Clues
Here is what Paparazzo had to say about himself: “Becoming Paparazzo is perfect for me because, let’s face it, the lens has been pointed in my direction my entire life. And while you see me do so many things in my career, the one thing I have never had a chance to do is sing on a big stage. Until now. And honestly, I’m terrified. I mean, I worked with the greats, took over the silver screen, and even took America’s sweetheart to prom. But this? This is so far outside of my comfort zone, I’m kind of freaking out. But I think that’s the big reason to give it a try. I know I’m not gonna be perfect, but tonight, I’m digging deep, I’m putting my fears aside, and hopefully capturing your hearts." Lawrence has been a star his entire life, making his acting debut at age four. One of his former flames is Danielle Fishel, who played Topanga on the ’90s sitcom Boy Meets World. Lawrence dated Fishel while he was doing his own stint on the show — and even took her to his high school prom.

Visual Clues
On-screen hints during Paparazzo's video package include the following: movie posters, images of Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler, and Chris Farley, a race car, a doormat that said "Home Sweet Home," and a chocolate Labrador retriever. Lawrence has starred in dozens of films and TV shows since making his debut performance on Dynasty in 1984. He's worked with plenty of greats, including Robin Williams in Mrs. Doubtfire and — although he may not be directly connected to the stars pictured in Paparazzo's clue package — he did have a role in The Hot Chick with one of Sandler and Farley's SNL-mates, Rob Schneider. As for the race car, Lawrence has admitted to drag racing and driving lavish automobiles in the past. That dog in the reel may be a nod to him voicing a pup in Rusty: A Dog's Tale.
On "Shrek Night," most of Paparazzo's clue package was focused on working with Robin Williams — who, as stated earlier, Lawrence starred alongside in Mrs. Doubtfire. We also saw Paparazzo lift up a book with a witch on the cover, which could be a reference to Lawrence's starring role in the Boy Meets World episode "The Witches of Pennbrook" in 1997.
On “Rat Pack Night,” Paparazzo’s clues included a map of Italy, band instruments, and a mistletoe. Lawrence is of Italian descent and his familial last name was changed from Mignogna to Lawrence before he was born. In 2017, he started a band with his brothers Joey and Andrew called Still Three. In 2021, he starred in the movie “Mistletoe Mixup” with his brother, Joey.
In-Person Clues
Following his performance of "The Door," Paparazzo revealed: "If you guys keep me around, I might spill the tea on yet another friend of mine, Steve Martin." Lawrence starred in the 1987 comedy Planes, Trains and Automobiles alongside the comedy legend. Following his performance of "Hallelujah," Paparazzo said, "Adults know me for my acting, but the kids know me for my voice." Lawrence has voiced a few characters in children's movies or TV shows, including Rusty the Dog and Tom Sawyer. After “That’s Amore,” we saw Frankenstein as Lawrence referenced “monsters” under the bed — he starred in the comedy/horror flick Monster Night in 2006.
