Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass might be re-teaming for another 'Bourne'
Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass are reportedly returning to Bourne, according to Deadline.
The re-team would mark the pair’s third collaboration in The Bourne Identity series, and Damon’s fourth Bourne film overall. The pair are reportedly in early talks at Universal.
Universal declined to comment. A rep for Damon did not immediately respond to EW‘s request for comment.
If the re-team pans out, it will likely be the next Bourne film to go into production in order to fill the July 16, 2016 release date that the studio selected for an untitled Bourne film. In effect, it will presumably push Bourne‘s Aaron Cross spinoff sequel, starring Jeremy Renner and directed by Justin Lin, aside, according to Deadline.
According to THR, Greengrass would direct and write the script, which would mark his first writing endeavor with Bourne.
