Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite Cruise To Return For A Second Year In February 2025

Maxwell is bringing his urban hang suite back to the seas.

The crooner has announced that his cruise, aptly named after his debut album, will return on the Norwegian Pearl from February 14-19, 2025.

The five-night adventure will begin in Miami and will stop in the Cayman Islands and Jamaica. Guests can enjoy two exclusive performances by Maxwell, as well as special appearances from Anthony Hamilton, Marsha Ambrosius, Lalah Hathaway, Avery*Sunshine, Terrace Martin, Tye Tribbett and more.

The upcoming run follows the sold-out success of this year’s inaugural Urban Hang Suite Cruise that also included DJ sets, cuisine and performances from Ledisi, Robert Glasper, Sabrina Claudio, Musiq Soulchild, Leela James, Gallant, and others. Those dominating the turntables and whipping up the culinary cuisine will be announced at a later date.

Tickets go on sale beginning this Friday, June 28th at 12 p.m. ET via the official website.

This cruise will come off the heels of Maxwell’s The Serenade Tour. He will be joined by Jazmine Sullivan and October London on the 26-city trek. It kicks off on September 14 in Hollywood, FL before wrapping in Los Angeles on October 27.

Between the two live experiences, Maxwell is reportedly set to release his long-awaited blacksummers’NIGHT album. He described the LP as a “journey into vulnerability [that] just ties up the Trilogy in a way that represents eroticism in a very mature way,” adding, “I see a lot of eroticism happening […] If you want to write lyrics that are very graphic, do what you want to do. I don’t do that — I believe in romance.”
