McDonald’s New Collector’s Meal: Nostalgic Cup Designs
As a kid, there was nothing more exciting than rolling up to a McDonald’s and ordering a Happy Meal, especially when every order came with a different toy or game that you could add to your collection. Now, you can indulge your inner kid once again as McDonald’s is set to release a new nostalgic line of surprises in their Happy Meals.
McDonald’s recently announced in a press release that the new collector’s meal will feature a line of nostalgic cups that you can find in your Happy Meal. Starting August 13, 2024, each meal will be served with a McDonald’s collector’s cup that will have a different nostalgic twist. The best part about this is you can collect them all.
What designs will be featured on the McDonald’s collector’s cups?
It was always so exciting to get to choose which toy you were going to get at McDonald’s — whether it was the Barbie or the toy car — and with these collector’s cups, the choices are endless.
The designs that will be featured on the cups include Mattel's Barbie & Hot Wheels; Beanie Babies; Coca-cola; Hello Kitty & Peanuts; film franchises Shrek, Minions, and Jurassic Park; and of course, a McDonald’s themed cup.
The McDonald’s themed cup shows off some of their own iconic characters from over the years, including The Grimace Glass, Boo Buckets and Funny Fry Friends.
In the press release, Morgan Flatley, Global Chief Marketing Officer and Head of New Business Ventures at McDonald's stated, “There's an undeniable thrill when you snag that one elusive McDonald's collectible or the final piece to complete your collection.”
He continued, “We're bringing back some of our most-loved keepsakes with a twist, giving fans a memory that they can hold in their hands. These new collectible cups commemorate some of our most unforgettable designs and global collaborations over the years, allowing longtime fans to relive treasured moments and helping a new generation make their own lasting memories.”
