Megan Fox returns to Instagram after rumored MGK breakup: 'You need to let this story die'
Megan Fox returned to Instagram Sunday to address rumors of cheating in her relationship with fiancé Machine Gun Kelly.
"There has been no third party interference in this relationship of any kind," Fox wrote in the post, which does not name Kelly. "That includes, but is not limited to ... actual humans, DMs, AI bots or succubus demons."
Before deleting her Instagram account last week, Fox removed a number of photos of Kelly (born Colson Baker) from her profile and posted a series of photos of herself without the "Mainstream Sellout" singer, sparking speculation that the couple has split. She captioned the post with lyrics from the Beyoncé song "Pray You Catch Me": "You can taste the dishonesty / It's all over your breath."
"While I do hate to rob you of running random baseless news stories that would have been much more accurately written by ChatGPT, you need to let this story die and leave all of these innocent people alone now," Fox wrote on Sunday.
Fox did not address the current status of her relationship with Kelly in the post.
USA TODAY has reached out to Fox's and Kelly’s representatives for comment.
Fox and Kelly first sparked dating rumors in May 2020 when Fox appeared in the music video for Kelly's single "Bloody Valentine." The video opened with a sultry Fox lying in bed next to the rapper and mouthing the words to the song while he is tied up with pink duct tape over his mouth.
Soon after, the two went public with their relationship, spending the summer gushing on Instagram and in interviews about their "instant connection."
"Waited for eternity to find you again," Kelly wrote on Instagram in July 2020.
The couple became engaged in January 2022.
"Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him," Fox wrote at the time. "And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes."
Fox and Kelly often describe each other as their "twin flame." The "Transformers" actress also said she believes she manifested her relationship with MGK as a young child in an April 2022 interview with Glamour UK.
"He’s literally my exact physical type that I’ve been manifesting since I was 4. I’m also four years older than him," Fox said of Kelly. "So, I think I made him."
