Megan Mullally horrified after Trump tweets old video of them singing 'Green Acres' to promote his farm bill signing: 'OMG'
Megan Mullally got a big mention in one of Donald Trump’s tweets today. While she was lucky the president didn’t add “lyin’,” “crooked” or “failing” in front of her name — in fact, he didn’t even mention her name — he did share a very embarrassing video of the two of them singing the Green Acres theme song, with Trump-y lyrics, at the 2005 Emmys.
In the bit, Trump — two years into his run in The Apprentice — was wearing a farm hat and overalls, while carrying a pitchfork and trying to carry a tune. (Let’s put it this way, it definitely wasn’t the Tonys.) The Will & Grace star, a two-time Emmy winner, channeled her inner Karen for the bit, and subbed “Trump Tower” for “Times Square.” It ended with a really awkward kiss.
In contrast to many of Trump’s tweets, he seems to have launched this one with only good intentions. Today, he signed the farm bill, so his video was to get people excited about that … we guess? But there was Mullally, going about her day — the day after Will & Grace‘s final tape night of the season — minding her own business, when the leader of the free world went and made her his #TBT to his 56.3 million followers.
Needless to say, there was a little of this:

We’ll help translate the emojis for you: There was the dizzy face, followed by the death skull and a hand waving goodbye. Basically, she’s dead. She also posted:
Luckily, some of her famous friends offered their support.
Kathy Griffin’s been in the trenches, so who knows better than she does?
Yvette Nicole Brown offered a beauty tip just for this type of situation.
And beyond, there were loads of reactions.
There were also soooo many reaction GIFs of Mullally. Mostly boozing it up, but others as well:
And even:
This one of her husband, Nick Offerman, has also gotten a lot of play today.
Speaking of awards shows, when Mullally finds herself undead again, she’ll soon start prepping to host the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Jan. 27. And you can bet there will be a mention of this.
