The VMAs, like many awards shows, were typically hosted by comedians like Arsenio Hall, Dennis Miller and Jack Black, but in recent years the music network has given the mic to the music stars like the now infamous Diddy, Miley Cyrus, 2024 Video Vanguard Award recipient Katy Perry, Doja Cat, Jack Harlow, LL Cool J, Minaj and now Megan.
This year Megan released her third studio album, “Megan,” featuring her third number-one single, “Hiss.” She previously topped the Billboard Hot 100 with the aforementioned “Savage” as well as “WAP” with Cardi B. “Megan” debuted at number-three on the Billboard 200 albums chart, making it the highest-charting rap album by a woman to be released in 2024. She’s currently in the midst of her first headlining concert tour, the “Hot Girl Summer Tour.”
