Meghan McCain calls out 'pathetic' Trump: 'He will never be a great man'
On The View Monday, Meghan McCain reacted to President Trump’s weekend Twitter attack on her father, John McCain.
Trump went after the late senator, who died in August, for his ties to the controversial Russia dossier and his vote against repealing Obamacare.
Spreading the fake and totally discredited Dossier “is unfortunately a very dark stain against John McCain.” Ken Starr, Former Independent Counsel. He had far worse “stains” than this, including thumbs down on repeal and replace after years of campaigning to repeal and replace!

Hours later, the talk show host responded.
No one will ever love you the way they loved my father…. I wish I had been given more Saturday’s with him. Maybe spend yours with your family instead of on twitter obsessing over mine? https://t.co/q7ezwmHiQ4

After being applauded by her fellow View co-hosts for sending the tweet, Meghan expanded on those thoughts.
“He spends his weekend obsessing over great men because he knows it and I know it and all of you know it, he will never be a great man. My father was his kryptonite in life, he’s his kryptonite in death,” she said. “And I just thought, ‘Your life is spent on your weekends not with your family, not with your friends but obsessing, obsessing, over great men you could never live up to.’ That tells you everything you needed to know about his pathetic life right now.”
Some viewers on Twitter applauded Meghan.
A very well stated (and restrained) response by @MeghanMcCain . Her father would be proud, I’m sure.

Amen, Meghan! Bless you for keeping your composure while speaking the truth.

But others weren’t buying her attacks on Trump and think she’ll be back to defending many of his actions and policies in no time.
here’s the thing, she will just defend him next week. so what does it matter

McCain was a hero but he also was a corrupt politician. Both can be true at the same time.

Meghan MCCain took a swipe at Trump suggesting “no one will ever love you like they loved my father” WRONG Meghan!
Millions of Americans truly LOVE President Trump, not McCain. I’m one!
We hated McCain for his ties to the Russian dossier & his vote against repealing Obamacare

Meghan only cares when it affects her directly. She’s a federalist and an archcon. No sympathy.

Meghan also said that she genuinely feels bad for Trump’s family.
“I can’t imagine having a father that does this on the weekends,” she said, to which co-hose Joy Behar replied: “Oh, they’re all on the same page. Don’t feel sorry for them.”
