Merchants Alley Happy Hour Music Series returns to Athens

ATHENS, Ala. (WHNT) — Downtown Athens visitors can enjoy music every Friday this Fall in Merchants Alley.

The TVA and Athens Utilities Athens Main Street Merchants Alley Happy Hour Music Series, presented by First Metro Bank, will be held every Friday from Sept. 6 to Oct. 25 in the alleyway on Jefferson Street from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Silent Book Club offers peaceful reading environment for Madison County bibliophiles

A performer will be able to do various musical acts every Friday. Patrons are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.

• 9/6/24 Nix Side Hustle

• 9/13/24 Brett Carlisle

• 9/20/24 The Cadillacs

• 9/27/24 Houston Ridge Bluegrass Band

• 10/4/24 Limestoners

• 10/11/24 Silver Silos

• 10/18/24 Brian Holder

• 10/25/24 Drew Clemons

Patrons are also encouraged to go early and shop at local vendors, as well as grab a drink in an Entertainment District cup to enjoy at these downtown establishments: Athens Alehouse & Cellar, Limestone Legends Billards, Village Pizza, Lucia’s Cocina Mexicana, Ro’s Grille, The Salty Cod, The Southern Table, Old Black Bear Brewing, Mozza’s Pizza, Studio 16 Cigar Lounge, Li’l Mazzara’s, Irons & Ales, or Wildwood Deli.
