Metallic Dresses Are Trending on the 2025 Oscars Red Carpet With Demi Moore, Halle Berry and More
Shades of silver and gold dominated the red carpet at the 2025 Academy Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles. Stars including Emma Stone, Demi Moore and Halle Berry opted for metallic gowns, bringing sequined and mirrored embellishments to the forefront.

Demi Moore
Moore glistened in a silver sequined gown by Armani Privé, which featured a plunging bodice and a floor-length train. A diamond-encrusted cuff and earrings by Chopard completed her look, curated by Brad Goreski, stylist to “Emily in Paris” star Ashley Park and Liv Tyler.
Halle Berry
Berry’s mirrored mosaic gown was by Christian Siriano. The actress accessorized her strapless frock with Pomellato jewelry. Stylist Lindsay Flores, who also counts Christina Applegate and Maggie Q as clients, dressed Berry for the occasion.
Goldie Hawn
Goldie Hawn nodded to her namesake in a gold strapless Dolce & Gabbana gown featuring crystal embellishments and a matching shawl. The actress added on a statement diamond chain-link necklace by Sabyasachi, which was also encrusted with tourmalines and spinels.
Doja Cat
Doja Cat’s leopard-print Balmain gown was adorned with black and gold beads. Featuring a matching scarf, her strapless frock included a plunging bodice. She accessorized with a 34-carat cushion cut yellow diamond pendant by Messika, as well as matching drop earrings. The rapper was dressed by Brett Alan Nelson, who also styles Tate McRae and Karol G.
Emma Stone
Stone wore a dazzling tank top dress custom-made by Louis Vuitton. She added on jewelry by the French label, including a star-shaped ring and matching earrings encrusted with diamonds. Silver leather sandals, also by Vuitton, topped off her ensemble. She was styled by Petra Flannery, known for working with Amy Adams and Zoe Salda?a.
Mindy Kaling
Mindy Kaling donned a botanical Oscar de la Renta halter gown decorated with three-dimensional leaves. The actress, screenwriter and producer was assisted by stylist Erin Walsh, who also dresses stars like Selena Gomez and Anne Hathaway.
The 97th Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, takes place on Sunday at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Conan O’Brien is hosting the ceremony, honoring the best in cinema from the past year.
