Metallica headlines Fortnite Festival Season 4: Songs, skins and how to play
It's time to exit light and enter the Battle Stage in Fortnite Festival Season 4 because this season's icon is none other than Metallica.
(Who played a wild, COVID-interrupted two-night stand at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, in September 2023.)
Beginning June 13, 2024, Fortnite Festival players will be able to shred to newly added Metallica songs to see who comes out on top, purchase "Master of Puppets" inspired skins and collect killer items like Lars Ulrich's drum kit.

Is Metallica coming to Fortnite Festival?
Yes. Fortnite players will be joined by James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo of Metallica who serve as the Icons of Fortnite Festival Season 4.
What is the new Fortnite Festival season?
Fortnite Festival Season 4 with Metallica begins on Thursday, June 13, and ends Friday, Aug. 16.
Players will search out and destroy opponents on the new Battle Stage, rock out to Metallica songs on the Jam and Main stages and unlock rewards by battling through the Season 4 Festival Pass.
Players with the Premium Reward Track will be able to take a seat behind Lars's TAMA Kit or don James,' Lars', Kirk's or Robert's outfits.
The Battle Stage will see 16 players enter, and one will emerge the true "Master of Puppets." All you have to do is battle your opponents during a four-song setlist and be the last player standing when the curtain falls.
Each battle will have a randomly chosen song for players to compete against each other. Play the same track as other players, choose your own song part and difficulty, and riff your way to victory.
What Metallica songs are in Fortnite?
As for which of Metallica's long list of hit songs will be featured in Fortnite Festival, you can expect to hear these killer tracks:
"Enter Sandman"
"Fuel"
"Master of Puppets"
"Ride the Lightning"
"The Unforgiven"
"Wherever I May Roam"
And that might not be all. Keep your ears open and you may hear even more Metallica songs throughout Season 4.

Half the fun of these musical collaborations is all the killer rewards that come with them. Here are some of the rewards and skins you can unlock in Fortnite x Metallica:

Slurp Blaster Guitar.
Three Jam Tracks: "S.O.M.P," "The Night Porter," "Dreamer."

1,800 V-Bucks.

Players can also purchase the Puppet Master outfits available for each Metallica band member.
If you're on Battle Royale Island, you'll want to be on the lookout for the "Ride the Lightning" guitars that will allow you to create a lightning arc in the sky that your squad mates can ride. And in the middle of every match, the floating Metallica Loot Island will descend from a hole in the sky.
