This blonde isn't having more fun.

During a Wednesday, July 17, appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Michael Cera admitted that his hair, which he recently dyed blonde for a role, is "in a weird place right now."

"My producer today said, 'Michael wants me to let you know that he's blonde,'" Meyers, 50, told the actor after welcoming him to the stage. "I didn't quite know what to expect but I'm glad he told me."

"Well, I kind of want to apologize for it a little bit," Cera, 36, replied.

He continued, "No, but the thing is, I mean, my hair is in a weird place right now. And I know this is going out on TV and everything but... that's all I wanted to say really."

The Superbad actor also said that he feels like he "can't cut it right now because then I'll have, like, frosted tips."

"Or I dye it back to my own color and that just feels wrong," he joked.

Cera showed off his new blonde style at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival. For the June 8 screening of his film Sacramento, the actor was almost unrecognizable in bleach blonde locks, a dramatic change-up from his usual brown hair. He also sported a cream-colored sweater over a collared shirt, blue trousers, brown shoes and red-tinted sunglasses.

Earlier this year, the actor made another unexpected move — a beauty partnership with skincare brand CeraVe. After photos of Cera carrying large amounts of CeraVe products began circulating on social media, he appeared on Bobbi Althoff's The Really Good Podcast, where Althoff asked him about claims he made that he started the skincare brand.

"My name is Cera," he told Altoff. "I don't claim that, but if you look at my name, my name is Michael Cera and people tend to draw the obvious."

He added, "I do like to say I have some skin in the game."

An official partnership between Cera and CeraVe was unveiled in February after he appeared in a Super Bowl commercial for the skincare brand. In the ad, the actor's claim that CeraVe is named after him is playfully debunked, reminding audiences that the "Cera" in CeraVe stands for "ceramides," not Michael Cera.
