Michelle Williams on What a ‘Dawson’s Creek’ Reunion Could Look Like

Michelle Williams appeared on Today Monday to talk about her new Broadway show, Blackbird, in which she is currently starring alongside Jeff Bridges.

Of course, the interview would not be complete without asking Willams about a potential Dawson’s Creek reunion, which Savannah Guthrie did just a few minutes into the interview. Williams quickly responded with a giggle and a succinct: “I died.”

That’s right. In case you don’t remember the Dawson’s Creek series finale from 2003, Williams’s character, Jen Lindley, died. In addition to opening up the floodgates for all those painful memories of the death of Jen Lindley to come rushing back to us, this kind of puts a damper on her starring in a potential reunion series.

However she did elaborate on what her involvement in a reunion could potentially be. “I would either have to come back as a ghost, or put a lot of filters on the camera, and I’d do flash-back scenes,” Williams said.

Unfortunately, she hasn’t received word of any reunion happening anytime soon.

“I think it’s a fun thing to sort of imagine,” Williams said. “I like imagining it, but I haven’t heard anyone say anything actually serious about that happening.”
