Miley Cyrus wishes boyfriend Cody Simpson a happy 23rd birthday: 'My best friend in the entire world'
Miley Cyrus is sending birthday wishes to boyfriend Cody Simpson, calling him “My best friend in the entire world.”
On Friday night, the “Slide Away” singer, 27, posted a series of Instagram photos and a video celebrating Simpson’s 23rd birthday. “Happy birthday to my best friend in the entire world @codysimpson,” Cyrus captioned one photo, adding skull emojis. “I love you and our pirate life!”
The former Hannah Montana star also posted a video of the duo wearing face masks. “Happy birthday to my favorite human to get weird with on the entire earth,” Cyrus captioned the video. “I [love] you.” In the clip, Simpson kisses her face and Cyrus jokes, “This is the weirdest thing anyone could ever do.”
Another photo of a shirtless Simpson wearing a black suit jacket revealed a potential birthday gift from Cyrus: an antique doctor’s bag emblazoned with the name “Prince Neptune,” the title of his upcoming poetry book. “1800s doctor bag for my baby @princeneptunepoet @codysimpson,” wrote Cyrus.
On his own Instagram page, Simpson showed off the gift, along with a copy of the book, available in April.
According to People, Simpson is spending his birthday in Milan, Italy where he enjoyed a large group dinner with a cake, and attended a few fashion shows. The couple, who have dated openly since October and who recently spent both Thanksgiving and Christmas with Cyrus’s family, are clearly serious.
Last month, Cyrus finalized the details of her divorce from actor Liam Hemsworth, to whom she was married for seven months.
