Miley Cyrus! Taylor Swift! Demi Lovato! Look Back At the Star-Studded Premiere of “Hannah Montana: The Movie”

The movie, which premiered in April 2009, featured 'Hannah Montana' regulars plus new additions like Taylor Swift, Vanessa Williams and Rascal Flatts

It's hard to believe, but Hannah Montana: The Movie came out 15 years ago!

The movie, which brought the beloved characters from the Disney Channel series to the big screen, premiered in April 2009 and starred Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus, Emily Osment and new additions like Vanessa Williams, Melora Hardin and even a cameo from Taylor Swift.

As fans continue to celebrate Miley being named a Disney Legend on Aug. 11 at D23 — the youngest-ever — here's a look back at the premiere of the iconic movie.

Miley Cyrus

For her big moment, Miley Cyrus accessorized her fringe dress with a leather jacket and matching boots. On Aug. 11, 2024, while accepting her Disney Legend honor, the multi-hyphenate got emotional when looking back on her role of Hannah Montana.

"A little bit of everything has changed, ... but at the same time, nothing has changed at all," she said. "I stand here still proud to have been Hannah Montana."

Taylor Swift

Before she was selling out arenas all over the globe, Taylor Swift secured a cameo role in Hannah Montana: The Movie where she performed her song "Crazier" from the movie's soundtrack.

Swift recently sang the song during an Eras Tour stop in Scotland during the surprise song portion of the night. Before singing the tune, which she blended with 2023's “All of the Girls You Loved Before," she told the crowd: “You get extra points if you know this next song at all because it is really, really old."

Emily Osment

As Miley Stewart's best friend, its no surprise Emily Osment was featured in the 2009 film and stepped out for the big L.A. premiere

Demi Lovato & Madison De La Garza

Though Demi Lovato was not in the movie, but as a fellow Disney star, she was sure to support her friend's new project. In fact, in a now famous photo, Lovato was seen with Cyrus, Osment and Swift heading to what "The Climb" singer remembers as a trip to The Cheesecake Factory on the night of the premiere.

Lucas Till

Lucas Till starred as Miley's love interest in the film and would shortly after appear in Swift's music video for "You Belong With Me."

Billy Ray Cyrus & Rascal Flatts

As Miley's dad both on and off screen, Billy Ray Cyrus hit the red carpet with his family and posed for a photo with Rascal Flatts — who make a special cameo in the film and have a song featured on the soundtrack.

Natalia Dyer

Stranger Things' Natalia Dyer's very first credit on IMDb is from her role in Hannah Montana: The Movie.

"Sometimes I forget," she told PEOPLE in 2020 of the appearance where she plays the daughter of a tabloid reporter trying to expose Miley's identity.

Jason Earles

Jason Earles, who played Miley's older brother across all four seasons of the Disney Channel series as well as the movie, rocked a grey suit for the occasion.

Melora Hardin

Melora Hardin, who plays Billy Ray's love interest in the movie, added a pop of color to her look with a pair of purple pumps.

Mitchel Musso

Mitchel Musso, who played Miley and Osment's best friend on screen sported his signature swoosh for the premiere

Willow & Jaden Smith

The Smith siblings were cute as can be at the 2009 premiere before the two had launched their own music careers.
