Miley Cyrus vows she'll never walk the red carpet again
Has Miley Cyrus walked her last ever red carpet? In a recent interview with Elle the singer promised she was done posing at premieres.
"[A year ago] I had to do the [A Very Murray Christmas] premiere, and I will never do a red carpet again," she says in the October issue of Elle. "Why, when people are starving, am I on a carpet that’s red? Because I’m 'important'? Because I’m 'famous'?" She adds, “that’s not how I roll. It’s like a skit -- it's like Zoolander."
Cyrus is set to take a seat in The Voice's red, spinning chairs this fall when she joins Alicia Keys, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine for the show's eleventh season and has some interesting advice for her contestants. “I don't want this to come off the wrong way, but I'm going to tell my contestants: Be Bernie Sanders," she says. "Be the person people want and love. Don't worry about the masses. That's how you make a memorable moment. Let people talk about it."
The new season of The Voice premieres on NBC Sept. 19, and airs Mondays and Tuesdays this fall.
