Mindy Kaling Channels Her Inner Dorothy in Ruby Red Christian Louboutin Hot Chick Slingbacks on the ‘Today Show’
Mindy Kaling sat down for an interview on the “Today Show,” which aired today via NBC.
The “Inside Out” star flattered her feet in a pair of eye-catching Christian Louboutin Hot Chick slingback pumps. The chosen silhouette currently retails for $895 and features glossy ruby red metallic patent leather uppers accompanied by sculptural slingback straps with “V” shaped notches and sharp pointed toes.

The base features leather soles in a blood-red hue, a design signature for the brand, accompanied by thin 3.9-inch stiletto heels that gave Kaling a substantial boost. The shoe is constructed of sleek lines that contrast the angular toes, creating visual interest. The mirrored ruby red uppers are also unique, paying homage to the ever-popular metallic shoe trend that has been taking the footwear world by storm as of late.
The “Late Night” actress opted for an equally colorful ensemble hailing from Harbison Studio. The thespian’s set included a cropped jacket partnered with a matching miniskirt. Both the top and bottom featured colorful striping and geometric button detailing in gold.
Kaling never shies away from a bold look, often wearing ensembles with bright colors, glamorous textures and joyful prints from brands including Oscar de la Renta, Retrofete and Tory Burch. The “Mindy Project” creator’s optimistic wardrobe also features an array of colorful sandals and pumps from designers like Stuart Weitzman, Christian Louboutin and Sophia Webster. When off-duty, she can also be spotted in Hoka One One sneakers, Adidas slides and Kate Spade sandals.
For the interview, Kaling spoke about co-creating and executive producing the hit Netflix comedy series “Running Point,” which stars Kate Hudson as Isla Gordon. The thespian also opened up about getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and how her kids celebrated the occasion by making her their own cut-out star with the words “Mom.” She also weighed in on a possible “Legally Blonde 3” film.
