Missy Elliott Announces Out Of This World Tour With Timbaland, Ciara, And Busta Rhymes
Missy Elliott is ready to take her talents all across the country with her upcoming blockbuster tour. The trailblazer announced the Out Of This World Tour on Monday (April 8), and to make matters even more exciting, she shared special guests like Timbaland, Ciara, and Busta Rhymes will be along for the ride.
“ATTENTION IT’S TIME. ‘OUT OF THIS WORLD’ TOUR across NORTH AMERICA!!!! With my family @ciara @bustarhymes & @timbaland This Spaceship will be Landing NEAR YOU. RUN 4 COVER,” the “Work It” creator wrote on social media.
Missy also acknowledged that the upcoming run is her first time headlining her own tour — a feat that’s long overdue, but perfectly timed. “This is an incredible time in my life as I am experiencing so many milestone ‘firsts.’ Being the FIRST female Hip Hop artist to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and now going out on my FIRST headline tour,” she shared via press release. “Fans have been asking me to tour forever but I wanted to wait until I felt the time was right because I knew if I was ever going to do it, I had to do it big, and I had to do it with family!
The 24-city run kicks off on July 4 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, making stops across North America in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Brooklyn, and more, before wrapping up in Rosemont at Allstate Arena on Aug. 22. The Out Of This World Tour is produced by Live Nation in association with Mona Scott-Young, Elliott’s longtime manager and CEO of Monami Entertainment, and represented by Seth Shomes through Day After Day Productions (DADP).
Tickets will be available starting with Verizon’s presale on Tuesday (April 9). Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead and the general onsale begins Friday (April 12) at 10 a.m. local time at Missy-Elliott.com.
