Sofia Vergara enjoys picnic reunion with former 'Modern Family' co-stars Sarah Hyland and Jesse Tyler Ferguson
Modern Family may have ended its run in 2020, but the cast of the beloved ABC comedy series is still close.
Sofia Vergara, 48, took to Instagram on Saturday to share a series of photos featuring her former co-stars Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Sarah Hyland enjoying a picnic in a park. Dressed in a flowing pink and yellow dress, Vergara smiled for the camera in one of the shots as she enjoyed treats from a cheeseboard.
"Park day picniiiic!!! I love you guys!" wrote Vergara. "Missed u so much!!!"
Vergara's husband Joe Manganiello, 44, with whom she celebrated the seventh anniversary of their first date last week, was along for the festivities, as was Ferguson's husband, Justin Mikita, and the couple's son, Beckett Mercer Ferguson-Mikita, who was born last July.
"I MISSED YOU GUYS SO MUCHHHHH," chimed in Hyland in the comments, who was sporting a long, curly mane. Ferguson also replied, sharing, "Why didn’t you post the cheese platters? I'm going to post them."
On his own account, Ferguson posted a couple of shots, including a selfie of the group smiling during the celebration.
“Pick-Neeeeeek,” Ferguson captioned the post, playing on Vergara's heavy Colombian accent.
In a follow-up post, Ferguson posted the previously mentioned cheese platters, which included the small one he brought alongside Vergara's palatial spread of meats, cheeses and fruit from "boho-inspired cheeseboard" company Sophisticated Spreads.
"Because people are asking… here are the cheese platters. Guess which one @sofiavergara brought," wrote Ferguson. "We laughed for about an hour about how tiny mine is."
Clearly, the Modern Family cast likes to stay in touch. Last summer, Vergara's on-screen husband, Ed O’Neill, popped up for a surprise reunion during an appearance on America’s Got Talent, on which Vergara serves as a judge, Yahoo Entertainment previously reported.
“Oh, my husband!” Sofia exclaimed, referring to the couple's on-screen role. “Where are you? I miss you so much!”
"I have to ask you a question: How did you manage to get the dream job you've always wanted, where you get to sit the entire time and someone else does all the work?” joked O'Neill, who was teleconferencing in from Hawaii. Vergara replied, “I don't know, Ed. God always is so good to me.”
