‘Modern Family’ Star Sarah Hyland Showcases Glamorous Alexandre Birman Sandals at ‘The Great Gatsby’ Centennial Celebration in NYC
Sarah Hyland dazzled in a sequin-embellished dress and shimmering sandals at a celebration marking the 100th anniversary of “The Great Gatsby” at the New York Public Library on Thursday night. The novel penned by writer F. Scott Fitzgerald is one of the most famous books in American literature.
Hyland attended the centennial gala because she will soon be stepping into the role of Daisy Buchanan in the Broadway adaptation. The “Modern Family” actress hit the red carpet in a strapless, fit-and-flare dress featuring an intricate sequined design and an asymmetrical hemline.

On foot, she wore Alexandre Birman’s new “Ciara Crystals” sandals. The eye-catching style is crafted from metallic pewter leather and three thin straps adorned with sparkling crystal-embellished buckles. The glamorous silhouette is complete with a sharp pointed toe and skinny stiletto heel measuring just under 4 inches.
Hyland accessorized with a smattering of bling to tie things together with some added shine. She donned a diamond necklace, diamond earrings, and rings on both hands. Last year, the “Love Island” host wore heels from other popular shoe brands like Le Silla and Gianvito Rossi. She also stepped out in styles from Dolce & Gabbana and Giorgio Armani.
Brazilian designer Alexandre Birman launched his eponymous shoe brand in 2008 and quickly earned a reputation for creating luxurious, elegant, and innovative shoes. Growing up in S?o Paulo, Brazil, he watched his father run a successful shoe manufacturing business, which provided early exposure to design and craftsmanship.
Before starting his own label, Birman honed his skills working at several renowned fashion houses Oscar de la Renta and Ferragamo. Birman is known for his use of exotic materials, luxurious leathers, and intricate embellishments such as crystals, feathers, and beadwork. Celebrities like Anna Kendrick, Lindsday Lohan, and Emily Blunt have all showcased Alexandre Birman styles recently.
