Monica Barbaro Chooses Jacquemus Red Shirt Dress and Patent Leather Slingback Heels for Vanity Fair’s Young Hollywood Party
Monica Barbaro is running through the looks. The “A Complete Unknown” star is hurdling to the Oscar’s finish line. Last week in an interview, her stylist Jeanann Williams said that she had done around 60-70 looks for the entire tour with about 12 looks to be seen in the final week before the Oscars ceremony.
Those looks included the two-tone ensemble that she wore to the nominees dinner on Tuesday with a pair of Gianvito Rossi plexi pumps. It also included her all red look that served her at the SAG awards on Sunday. She paired that Christian Dior dress with the Christian Louboutin Loubi Queen Alta sandal.

Barbaro kept up all red when she attended the Vanity Fair and Instagram Present Vanities: A Night for Young Hollywood Party. She wore a red oversized shirtdress from Jacquemus. The piece included long, baggy sleeves.
She and Williams paired the dress with a pair of similarly red Jacquemus slingback heels. The shoe is the company’s Cubisto silhouette. It has a pointed vamp as well as a pointed toe, and the design is full of angles. It is molded to have sharp angles and points throughout. In addition, at the vamp there is a bow made of string.
The slingback strap includes a small buckle and there is a stiletto heel that measures about four inches. The company also offers the Cubisto in a kitten heel height. Jacquemus sells the high Cubisto slingback heel for $950. The brand also offers it in differing colors.
Barbaro isn’t the first to wear the shoe this awards season. Pamela Anderson notably wore the slingback in white at the 2025 BAFTA Awards. In January, Tyla also wore the heels to the brand’s fall 2025 show. She opted for black.
Slingbacks have been constantly popping up on this awards circuit. Selena Gomez and Zoe Salda?a, both supporting their film “Emilia Perez,” have worn them. And so has Barbaro. When she attended the Santa Barbara Film Festival, she wore Christian Louboutin’s Condora Strap heel. Nicole Kidman joined the crew at the Critics Choice Awards in a pair of black Vendome slingback heels from Saint Laurent.
