Oh, what could have been! It’s been 13 years since ABC cancelled All My Children but in many ways it feels like it’s never truly been gone. From the short-lived online revival to the talk about reviving it as a primetime drama title Pine Valley, the ABC sudser has never really been far from our minds. On top of that, for some time now, General Hospital has been weaving All My Children into its fabric, name dropping Pine Valley residents and even going so far as to bring Walt Willey in to reprise Jackson for a few episodes.

Plus, they’ve name dropped Susan Lucci’s legendary Erica Kane more than a few times. And let us just say we have been waiting for that particular crossover with no small amount of excitement! And then today happened. (You can read the recap here.)

Out of nowhere, Nina’s assistant Madison informed her that her Enchantment meeting had to be cancelled. Nina was furious because meeting with the great Eric Kane is incredibly difficult and you do not want to incur her wrath. It turns out acting Aurora boss Michael was the one who had it cancelled because he just had to talk to Nina.

First off, that just seems like bad business on Michael’s part. Maybe he shouldn’t be in charge of things here because Enchantment and Erica are both big deals. But on top of that, in one blow the show name dropped Erica once again, teasing how close we were to seeing her, only to snatch it away practically before we could even process what we were hearing! And Nina warning about Erica’s wrath has us worried now that the possibility of her agreeing to another meeting might be slim to none.

Hopefully, they’re just building up hype to when they actually do bring Susan Lucci and Erica onto General Hospital. Because otherwise, they just teased what could have been the ultimate All My Children crossover just to snatch it away for no reason.

We’ll just say that if Nina does manage to get a do-over with Erica, Michael better keep his nose out of it! We’d love to see her on our screens once again even if it’s just a quick visit!

What are your thoughts? Would you like to see Lucci and Erica in Port Charles? Have you been enjoying these All My Children and One Life to Live crossovers we occasionally get?
