Nearly four decades since the series debut of ABC’s Moonlighting, it has been announced that the Bruce Willis-led detective dramedy will finally be arriving on digital platforms for the first time.

All five seasons of Moonlighting will be available for streaming starting on January 16. Each episode of the classic 1980s series has already been remastered in HD from the original film source. It also comes with the original Grammy-nominated title track recording by Al Jarreau.

What is Moonlighting about?

“When former fashion model Maddie Hayes goes broke and finds that one of her few remaining assets is ownership of the Blue Moon Detective Agency, she’s tempted to liquidate it until she meets the quirky employees and gets involved in their even quirkier cases,” reads the synopsis.

Created by Glenn Gordon Caron, Moonlighting ran on-air for 67 episodes from 1985 to 1989. The comedy drama was led by Willis and Cybill Shepherd as private detectives. They were joined by Allyce Beasley and Curtis Armstrong, along with recurring stars Eva Marie Saint, Charles Rocket, Mark Harmon, Virginia Madsen, and more. The series also featured several acclaimed actors in one-time roles, including Whoopi Goldberg, John Goodman, Demi More, Tim Robbins, Dana Delany, Pierce Brosnan, and Rita Wilson.
