American country star Morgan Wallen was arrested in Nashville on Sunday at 10:53 pm on felony charges. Morgan Wallen was accused of throwing a chair from the sixth story of a Broadway Bar. The bar is Erich Church’s newly opened Cheif’s Bar, located at 200 Broadway in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.
According to Metro Nashville, police officers were standing in front of Chief’s Bar on Sunday night, when they saw the chair fall dangerously close to them. Staff identified Wallen as the culprit, claiming he threw the chair from above. The video footage of Morgan’s arrest has now surfaced over the internet.
Morgan Wallen Later Released On A $15,250 Bond From Davidson Country Jail
This chair incident led to Morgan Wallen being arrested on three felony charges involving both police and public safety and disorderly conduct. The singer was later released on a $15,250 bond from Davidson County jail around 3:30 a.m.
Wallen’s attorney, Worrick Robinson, confirmed the arrest and said. “At 10:53 pm Sunday evening Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He is cooperating fully with authorities.”
Wallen’s accusation coincides with his scheduled appearances at Nissan Stadium on May 2nd and 3rd, indicating that he was already planning to be in Nashville at the time. The incident adds to Wallen’s recent controversy, having previously faced backlash for using a racial slur. an indiscretion that led to her being dropped from major radio networks and rejected from award shows.
