Make or Break Not Returning for Season 3 at Apple TV+ (Exclusive)
In June, TVLine exclusively broke the news that the Apple TV+ series was looking to bring Alex’s dad into the action for Season 4. At the time, we wrote: “Martin Levy is in his 70s or early 80s and is described as a charming, sharp, deep-thinking man with a sense of humor. And, in what has probably not been super fun for Alex her entire life, Martin pulls no emotional punches.” We also reported that the character was slated to be around for roughly six episodes.
In addition to Irons’ film career, which includes a Best Actor Academy Award for 1991’s Reversal of Fortune, his TV resumé is long and varied. It includes Watchmen, The Borgias, Law & Order: SVU, The Hollow Crown, Brideshead Revisited and The Pentaverate.
The Morning Show also recently added Oscar winner Marion Cotillard as Celine Dumont, whom the official character description calls “a savvy operator from a storied European family.” She’ll join returning cast members including Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee and Nichole Beharie — but not Julianna Margulies, who played Bradley’s love interest Laura and who will not be part of the upcoming season.
The Morning Show‘s Season 4 renewal came in April 2023. Season 3, which aired September through November of 2023, found Elon Musk-like tech giant Paul Marks (played by Mad Men‘s Jon Hamm) poised to buy the financially struggling UBA network. He and Jennifer Aniston’s Alex dated over the course of the season, but she eventually broke up with him after learning that his business practices — such as spying on UBA employees — were not above board. Then, she pitched a potential partnership between UBA and its longtime rival network, NBN. (Read more about the Season 3 finale here.)
