Morris Chestnut Makes Smoldering Slow-Mo Debut in “Reasonable Doubt” First Look — Watch! (Exclusive)
'Reasonable Doubt' season 2, starring Emayatzy Corinealdi, premieres on Aug. 22 on Hulu
Morris Chestnut know how to make an entrance!
In PEOPLE's exclusive first look at Reasonable Doubt season 2, the 55-year-old actor, who takes on the role of high powered lawyer Corey Cash, makes his debut at Binder Hurwitz Stewart law firm.
The teaser begins with Krystal (Angela Grovey) sharing her skepticism about the new lawyer arriving for an important meeting.
"Corey Cash sounds like a fake name," she scoffs while Daniel (Tim Jo) remarks that he may be a "spy" or a "90s rapper."

Jax (Emayatzy Corinealdi) sets the record straight about Corey and reminds the group that "he's not a rapper or a spy. He's a lawyer and a damn good one."
"We've been on quite a few panels together," she continues, explaining how the two know each other. "Ran into each other at the NBA. I've been following his career for the last few years, and he is one trial away from becoming a household name, and who knows? Chanel's case could be the one."
Despite Jax's attempt to vouch for Corey, Crystal continues to doubt his intentions and wonders if he's signing on to the case for the wrong reasons. As she claims he's just "trying to make a name for himself," Daniel reveals Corey's impressive pedigree and notes that he comes from a long line of lawyers and university presidents.
"He'll blend right in since he started in corporate law, making boatloads of cash with C-suite executives before transitioning to do the Lord's work," Daniel quips.

Crystal isn't quite convinced but promises Jax that she'll "be nice" as Corey rounds the corner and gets ready to make his introduction.
As he makes his way down the hall in slow motion, Crystal's mouth drops and she muses, "I think I love it, love it."
Season 2 of Reasonable Doubt will center around Jax and her attempt to "get her life back on track" after trying to "heal from her wounds from last season’s arduous trial and deadly affair," an official log line reads. "That is until one of her closest friends reveals that she has killed her husband."
"Her friend is claiming self-defense, but an uncompromising prosecutor thinks otherwise. Needing all the help she can get, Jax brings in an ambitious defense attorney to lead the case, but things get tense very quickly," the synposis continues. "Can Jax defend her friend, save her marriage and protect her energy while being catapulted into the biggest case of her career? Or will she lose it all?"
In addition to Chestnut, Corinealdi, Jo and Grovey, Reasonable Doubt stars McKinley Freeman and Aderinsola Olabode. Kerry Washington serves as an executive producer as well as Larry Wilmore and Raamla Mohammed.
