Library exhibition features east-suburb artists
East Suburban Artists League will present an exhibition featuring members' artwork at the Elaine Biondi Gallery Space in Monroeville Public Library, 4000 Gateway Campus Blvd., through June 20.
The public is invited to attend the opening reception on June 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. Admission is free.
ESAL artists work in various media, styles and techniques, including watercolor, acrylic, pastels, oil paintings, photography, fiber arts, collage, mosaics and monoprints.
Most of the artwork will be available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the nonprofit Friends of the Monroeville Public Library.
The gallery is open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is closed on Sundays.

Chalk Art Festival in Delmont
The Delmont Public Library and the Delmont Visionary Committee will host a Chalk Art Festival with Erik "The Chalking Dad" Greenawalt from 12:30-4:30 p.m. June 4.
The afternoon will also include magician Billy Heh and live music by Keyboard Kevin along with food, Kona Ice, games, prizes and face painting. It will be at the Delmont Public Library, 75 School Street.

'Wines from Near and Far' fundraiser
The Friends of the Delmont Public Library will host a "Wines from Near and Far" from 6-8 p.m. June 10 at the library's Lendl Community Room.
The wine and cheese event is for those ages 21 and older, and will also include auction baskets and 50/50 raffles. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at the library through May 31.

First annual 'Madd Hatter Tea Party' at Fairview Park
The first annual "Madd Hatter Tea Party" will take place from noon to 3 p.m. June 3 at Fairview Park in Salem.
The afternoon will include entertainment, prizes for the best hats, a 50/50 raffle and more. Tickets are $10 and available at Eventbrite.com/historicfairviewpark.
'Christmas in June' bingo
St. Barbara Parish will host a special "Christmas in June" bingo night at 6:45 p.m. June 7 at the church, 111 Raymaley Road in Penn Township's Harrison City neighborhood.
Increased payouts will include $150 games, $200 specials, a must-go $2,000 jackpot and an $1,800 all-nighter game. Advanced tickets are $35 and $40 at the door. Doors open at 5 p.m.

Delmont Diggers to host planting party
The Delmont Diggers group will host a "planting party" to prepare the Delmont library's summer garden at 5:30 p.m. June 12.
Participants will plant, water and weed the garden to prepare for summer. The program is open to children ages 2-12.

Heritage Trail Community Festival planned
The annual Westmoreland Heritage Trail Community Festival will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 3 in Trafford, and this year will include a poker run.
Registration prior to May 26 is $25 per person. Day-of registration is $30, and begins at 9 a.m. The poker run will begin at 10 a.m., with awards ceremonies and raffles at noon.
B-Y Park is at 812 Route 130 in Trafford. Additional parking is available across the street at Christian Life Church.
