Music Takes Over D.C. For Broccoli City Festival 2024
A time was had from July 27-28 as music dominated Washington D.C. at the 2024 Broccoli City Festival.
This year’s two-day experience was headlined by Megan Thee Stallion, Gunna, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Victoria Monét, and KAYTRANADA, alongside Key Glock, Sexyy Red, Fridayy, Veeze, Teezo Touchdown, Amaarae, Jordan Ward, Skilla Baby, Baby Tate, Ryan Trey, and ChloTheGod.
They were joined by special guests Lil Yachty and the Concrete Boys as attendees also got to experience TrapSoul karaoke hosted by Bryson Tiller, opening remarks from Issa Rae, a Soulection set with Joe Kay, a Hoedown with rising country star Tanner Adell, and more.
Backstage, Issa Rae reflected on what Broccoli City means to her.
“Broccoli City is community. It’s turnt up vibes. It’s branding. It’s just everywhere I want to be,” said the Insecure co-creator. She admittedly has been tryna pop out at the festival for the past five years and has finally made time to see what all the hype was about. It’s safe to say it lived up to her expectations. “This is my first year making it and I see what I’ve been missing out on. I kinda knew, but now I see and there’s no way I’ve ever gonna miss it again. It’s just a turnt-up vibe that also manages to be laidback. It’s the best talent you can imagine in one place and we get to be a part of that and witness it.”
From Gunna ending the night on a high and Megan Thee Stallion bringing Tokyo to the States to Tanner Adell’s country flair and Bryson Tiller giving us whatever we want, check out more highlights from Broccoli City Festival 2024 below.
