How Naomi Watts Achieved Glowy Skin Until the Very End of the Emmys After Party

At last night’s Emmy Awards, metallic, sparkling gowns were a popular choice for both nominees and presenters. Kristen Wiig, Bridgerton’s Nicola Couglan, Gillian Anderson, Christine Baranski and more showed up in shades of gold, silver, and bronze. While Emmy nominee Naomi Watts opted for a green Balenciaga gown for the show itself, she, too, pivoted to metallics for the Apple TV+ after party.
Watts was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her role playing Babe Paley in Feud: Capote vs. The Swans. Though she ended up losing out on the win to Jodie Foster, Watts celebrated her nomination after the main event, at the streamer’s after party, held at the buzzy Mother Wolf restaurant.
There, she changed out of her award show gown into something a bit more fun—a short, silver and black sequined Celine dress in silk georgette with a high neck and long sleeves. She paired the dress with strappy, black and silver heeled sandals, a black envelope clutch, and the same Harry Winston Diamond Links Earrings she wore to the awards ceremony. She chose a natural makeup look complementing her signature blonde bob.
Watts walked the red carpet hand-in-hand with husband and fellow actor Billy Crudup. Crudup did take home an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role playing Cory Ellison on The Morning Show. In his acceptance speech, he made sure to give his wife a shoutout.
“I'm happy to be here with my piece of eye candy there, my wife, who also happens to be an immigrant and also gave a searing performance this year for which she's nominated. And she starts businesses, too,” he said. “So nice to be by her side."
Indeed, it was a big night for the Watts-Crudup duo. Watts prepared with glam from makeup artist Mary Wiles. She used Chanel beauty for Watts’s face, including Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation Hydration and Longwear to even out her complexion and Baume Essentiel Glow Stick in Dragee to highlight Watts’s bone structure. For that muted, coral lip, Wiles combined 31 Le Rouge in 23 Rouge Accessorie and 18 Rouge no 5 Matte.
On her body, Watts used Stripes The Full Monty body oil—seen here in an exclusive photo for T&C.
The product helped make Watts’ skin look and feel more radiant and glowy for a full night of events. As for hair, Robert Vetica styled Watts’ bob into a dramatic swoop, which she then parted down the middle for a more casual, late night look.
