NASCAR Legend Bubba Wallace Shares Unique Gender Reveal Video

Darrell “Bubba” Wallace shared an adorable gender reveal video with fans late last week that showed the moment he and his wife Amanda learned the sex of their baby.
The NASCAR driver revealed in an Instagram post last month that he is preparing to become a father for the first time. The couple is expecting “Baby Wallace” to arrive in October.
In an Instagram video the couple, both 30, shared on Saturday, May 25, they explained that they asked some friends to assist with their multi-step gender reveal, which started with an egg hunt at the Wallace’s home. In the video, their friends were seen hiding 23 plastic eggs, each one of which contained either a blue—for a boy—or pink—for a girl—beaded necklace.

Once all of the eggs were collected, Bubba and Amanda took turns opening them, noting that the first to 12 would “win.” Throughout the video, Bubba and Amanda acted thrilled with each unveiled piece of costume jewelry as Bubba placed the blue necklaces around his neck and Amanda collected the pink.
When the countdown came down to one final egg, Bubba excitedly danced as he waited to see which color the necklace inside would be.
“My heart’s racing, y’all,” Amanda said as they prepared for the reveal. When she opened the egg to find a blue necklace inside, their friends collectively screamed, “It’s a boy!” Several people set off blue confetti-filled poppers as Bubba and Amanda embraced in celebration.
“In case you missed it… IT’S A BOY!????,” Bubba wrote later in an Instagram post that included photos from the event.
Comedian B. Simone praised the “cool reveal” in a comment on Bubba’s Instagram video. Meanwhile, fellow NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin cracked a joke about the news, writing, “A baby Bubba? Lord help us.”
Dozens of fans also left comments congratulating the expecting couple and praising the creativity of their gender reveal.
“Congrats! This is such a neat way to find out!” one fan wrote.
“What a unique reveal! Congratulations y'all! ??,” another fan said.
“Future Daytona 500 winner ????,” one Instagram user predicted, adding, “congrats guys??.”
