NBC’s ‘Meet The Press’ Scores Donald Trump “Exclusive” After ‘Nightly News’ Trump Tower Broadcast
One day after NBC Nightly News was broadcast in its entirety from inside Trump Tower, NBC News announced that presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump will appear exclusively Sunday on Meet the Press with Chuck Todd. Exclusive as in, the only Sunday Beltway show on which Trump would appear.
Except ABC News just tweeted this:
MTP‘s interview will be conducted tomorrow, for broadcast Sunday morning. It will take place in — you know it’s coming — Trump Tower. Todd announced in March that he no longer would allow the now-presumptive GOP candidate to phone in his appearance on his Sunday Beltway show.
George Stephanopoulos is going to sit down with Trump in Omaha, where the GOP near-nominee is going to be holding a rally.
Last night, Lester Holt conducted an “exclusive network TV interview” with Trump, among the pantheon of TV news outlet “exclusives” with Trump the morning after the former NBC reality star became the presumptive GOP presidential candidate. Trump became the party’s last guy standing when Texas Sen. Ted Cruz suspended his campaign after a bloody defeat in Indiana and Ohio Gov. John Kasich followed suit 24 hours later.
