With CBS’ The Case of: JonBenet Ramsey docuseries being trimmed from six to four total hours (now premiering Sunday, Sept. 18 and concluding Monday, Sept. 19), NCIS: LA will open Season 8 a week earlier than originally scheduled — on Sunday, Sept. 25, at 8:30/7:30c (leading out of a football doubleheader).

What’s more, NCIS: LA will return with two fresh episodes: “High-Value Target,” in which the Secretary of Defense (Drop Dead Divas‘ Jackson Hurst) takes over the Los Angeles unit in light of the unresolved mole mystery, and “Belly of the Beast,” where the team travels to Syria where one agent is severely injured.
